“Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.”
— Psalm 119:105
There’s something terrifying about not knowing what comes next.
The job ends. The relationship breaks. The plan falls through.
And suddenly, you’re standing in the dark, unsure, afraid, and wondering if God forgot where you are.
But He hasn’t.
In the last few weeks, I’ve been walking through that darkness myself.
There’s been so much clouding my vision, so much uncertainty about what God wants me to do or who He’s calling me to be.
I’ve had to make some incredibly hard decisions. And honestly?
Sometimes I don’t know what comes next, and fear creeps in, heavy and loud.
But even in that cloud of darkness, I know this: the light of God is guiding me through to the other side.
God doesn’t need you to have it all figured out.
He just asks you to trust Him with the next step.
Sometimes His guidance doesn’t come like a spotlight. It comes like a soft lantern glow, just enough to walk forward one step at a time.
That’s how faith works. Not in leaps, but in little, trembling steps of “Yes, Lord. I’m still here. I’m still following.”
If you’re in a season where everything feels uncertain, you’re not alone.
God sees. God hears. God leads.
You don’t have to sprint. Just take the next small step in grace.
And know that it’s enough.
Prayer
Lord,
I don’t always know what to do, and I confess that the unknown often feels overwhelming.
When fear clouds my heart and the path ahead looks dark, help me remember that You are still near.
Shine Your light into my confusion.
Remind me that I don’t need to have every answer.
I just need to stay close to You.
Give me peace in the waiting, courage in the unknown, and trust to follow You one small step at a time.
Thank You for being the steady light in every shadow.
Amen.
